My New Addition

Hey everyone! As many of you know I moved into my apartment in October, but decorating it has taken me a while. I love love Pottery Barn but some of their stuff is just too pricey for me. I always get their catalog so I saw some plates that you can hang up as art work. I resisted buying them until they went on sale and found them this weekend. Here's a pic of them after I hung them up. Let me know what you think.

My parents came in town this weekend for Memorial Day. It was soo fun to hang out with them and my aunt and uncle. My father served in the military for a while and also recently just retired from the civil service after 35 years being a graphic artist for the government. I just want to say thanks to all those who did serve and are still serving for our country. Hope you guys had a super Memorial Day!!

It's Been A Long Time!

Ok, so it's been a few months since I've updated you all on what's been going on in my life. I've been pretty busy with work and visiting my parents back in San Antonio. Here's some pics of what's been going on.

My parents and I decided to go out to Fredricksburg on saturday before Easter. We had so much fun there visiting all the shops and best of all we got some yummy ice cream. There was also a great beading store and so I had fun making a pretty turquoise necklace. One of these days I want to try and make my own necklaces. The ladies at the beading store make it look so easy. It was such a blessing to be there with my parents on Easter. I cherish every visit we have and wish that we lived closer.

This is my Mom and I getting yummy ice cream!

This is my Dad and I trying to eat our ice cream before it melts.

I'm not a huge golf fan but my boss gave me some tickets to the Byron Nelson Golf Tournment and so my friend Dee Dee and I went. I pretty much have no clue about golf but Dee Dee was able to fill me in on some of the basics so if I'm ever asked to go and play then I won't totally make a fool out of myself. We got to walk around and check out all the fun things that they had at the tournment, but the thing we didn't get was the food. They were trying to get us to buy nachos for $12 and a Diet Dr. Pepper for $6. We decided to take a walk around and see if there was anything else to choose from. Well leave it to a resourceful woman to come upon a shopping center across from the Four Seasons Hotel (that's where the Tourn. was held) and it had cheap places to eat like Subway. We slit a foot long sub for $5, so it didn't hurt to keep looking around to see what else there was before settling on $12 nachos. All in all it was a fun night! Here's some pics!

This is me and Dee Dee while we were wondering around after to tourn. ended.

We got so close to the greens that we were able to get a pic of the scoreboard. That's pretty darn close.

Well it's getting late, gosh I feel old, so I'd better sign off for now and get some sleep.
