Thanksgiving

We have soo much to be thankful this season. My parents come every year to Dallas for Thanksgiving and eventhough it's only for 3 days it's soo much fun spending quality time with them. We always go to El Fenix for dinner because that's my Mom's favorite resturant. It's a place that has the best soft cheese tacos. This year my Mom was sick so I got to do some of the cooking and that was really fun. This was only the second time I've really helped with the cooking for Thanksgiving. Everyone was surprised at how well everything turned out. If I do say so my self the meal was delicious. I think that this will spur me on to cook more.:) I feel very blessed to have had all my family together this year. When I get the pics of me cooking I'll post them. I know that for some of you it's surprising that I did soo much cooking. I hope your Thanksgiving was a blessed as mine was.

Fall Happenings

Let me just say that I love the fall! There's soo much going on from ACU Homecoming to Halloween. I went back to ACU for Homecoming and had soo much fun. When a bunch of us were at Alpha kai Omega Homecoming Breakfast, there were soo many new people there. It's soo exciting to see how big Alpha kai has gotten since I pledged in 2001. Back then we were a little social club and maybe had 10 alumni. Now we have pledge classes that have about 45 girls in it. It's soo fun to go back there and see all your old friends and their families. Here's some pics from the Homecoming weekend:

So this pic is kinda an inside joke but you all might find it funny too. Jamie (in the red shirt) is pregnet and wanted to do some shopping to kill some time before dinner one night. Ridglea, Heather, and I all thought it would be fun to try on the baby bump while Jamie was trying her clothes on. The next thing we knew we were having a little fashion show in the middle of Motherhood Maturnity. It was soo funny!!

Here is Leigh Ann and I at Guitars on Saturday night...I love this girl! I wish she lived closer.

Alpha kai Omega Homecoming Breakfast 2007 - These are some of the ladies that I pledged with in 2001 - Whitney, Emily, Ridglea, Kara, Jamie, and Jenny. We sure do look bright and cheery for having to be at breakfast at 6:30AM!

This is also a fun time of year to take trips to the zoo before it gets too cold again. Finn and I went to the Dallas Zoo the other day with Brittany, her son Clay, and Gracie ( the little one she is a nanny for) and had soo much fun. They had this giant pumpkin and it was the cutest thing getting their pics there. Here's a few:

Finn and I stopping to take a rest at the zoo.

Finn loves to ride horses even if they are wooden.

Clay is loving his shades and the zoo! He's such an outdoorsie kinda baby.

Here's a pic with the kiddos playing peek a boo with the giant pumpkin. It was a team effort.

Another reason that I like the fall is because my birthday is in September. Some people don't like to celebrate their birthday but I love it because then I get to be around people that I love. This year was really fun. Mike, Brittany, Clay, and I went to one of my favorite resturants - Outback and ended up with a free meal. It's a really long story.

Here's Clay and I at lunch on my birthday.

And here is Brittany and I with Clay before dinner at Outback.

Well I'm sorry to say but I still don't have pics of my new place because it's a work in progress. That's all for now until I have some time to upload more pics or something else fun and interesting happens. Stay tuned!!
