So I know it's been a long time since I last posted but my summer is a crazy time. I had a fun July 4th weekend with my parents. We had a lot of family over to my Aunt's house and cooked a ton of food. It was none stop family fun from shopping at the Allen Outlets to going to El Fenix. The outlets had great deals and we got to get great mexican food too! A few weeks later I got a week vacation which was great. I stayed in Dallas which was really fun and relaxing. I was able to get to have some fun girly time with my bff Brittany at the spa. We did our research and narrowed it down to a spa in Carrolton. We started out our fun day with getting baby Carolina's crib bedding picked out and ordered. We had to have 4 different types of fabric for the bedding. There were so many choices that it was hard to decide, but finally picked the cutest bedding that I've ever seen. I know that when it comes to my little girl's bedding I'm going to have hard time narrowing it down. After that we tried this new tea room near the spa. It was soo good. They had this really good chicken salad and broccoli salad. Then it was onto the spa...I was really looking forward to the massage but I was kinda timid about the facial. It had been soo long since I had a massage but it was AMAZING! I definitely want to go and get another one soon. The facial was relaxing and it felt great to get all the impurities out of my skin. It was soo fun to just spend time with Brittany and get to be pampered. I also went to the pool a lot and worked on my tan and caught up on some reading. Now it's back to work...I was excited to get back in the swing of things.

I love Zumba Dance Class!!!
Tonight I went to a new workout class at the gym and loved it. It was called Zumba. Anyone ever been to one before?? At first I was trying to learn the steps and not laugh at myself for messing up but in the end it was a great workout. I burned about 400 calories which is great since I had pizza for lunch. If anyone out there has a chance to take a Zumba please do because it's a ton of fun. You won't believe how fast an hour can go by. I felt like I was back in my high school dance class all over again. So go out there and get your groove on!!

I've been tagged!
Jeri tagged me so here goes!!
6 things about me:
1. I love having my own place!!! It's super fun to decorate it but it's hard to stay with my budget.
2. I love my job being a nanny. It's soo much fun to spend my days with Finn! He is such a joy as well as his wonderful parents. I couldn't ask for better employers. Also this job is soo flexible, not sure if I could do a desk job from 8-5 everyday.
3. I think Weight Watchers is amazing!! I have lost almost 16 lbs since January. It's once of the only programs that is a life style change not a DIET. I hate that word!!
4. I love Larry North Gym!! There are soo many fun classes to take and a tons of workout equipment so I don't have to wait for one to become available.
5. I am very into reality tv: the Bachelorette, Moving Up, What Not To Wear, Trading Spaces, John and Kate Plus 8, and Biggest Loser. It's kinda out of control but that's why you have a DVR.
6. I am in the process of reorganizing my closet and trying to get rid of the clothes that I don't wear anymore. It's hard to do but I know that in the end I will be better off.
Ok I am going to tag: Brittany, Jennifer, and Tiffany. Have fun gals!!

What a deal!!!
This is for all you Dallas folks! I just love watermelons as many of you know. Living by myself I didn't want to buy a huge watermelon. I went to Sprouts Farmers Market on Marsh and Forest Ln. and found a decent size watermelon for $1.99. I was so excited to find this great deal that I thought that I'd share it with you. I think that there are other Sprouts throughout Dallas so definitely check it out.

Fun Times On Vacation!!
Awww yes I finally had a vacation that was longer than 3 days!! It was great to have some time off and get away from Dallas. The vacation started with having my parents come to visit for Memorial Day. We had such a blast! We did a little estate sale shopping on Sunday and I found a cute table to put my tv on. When we went on Sunday the tv table was on sale at 35% off. I thought that was a super deal, but I wasn't sure it was worth the price. i decided to wait and come back then next day when it would be 50% off and if was still there then I would get it. Well we went back first thing in the morning and there it was. Yea go me!!! The only bummer was to find that my battery wouldn't start on Monday so we had to head to Sam's. While we were there we found the new Hungry Girl book for $11! What a steal!
On Tuesday I went to visit my friend Jeri who has recently to Austin. We had soo much fun catching up, playing with her son Owen, and painting his room. Painting can be fun but it's hard work too. Owen is such a good baby!! He just loved to do his new tricks like roll over and suck on his toes. Here's a few pics of the cutie!

Friday one of my best friends Angela and her fiance Ryan came into town along with her parents for the weekend. It was soo fun to have them here. While they were here we got to see The Sex and the City movie. It was soo good! Here are some pics from the weekend!!
Angela and I at her brother's party

Hope yal are having a super week!

My New Addition
Hey everyone! As many of you know I moved into my apartment in October, but decorating it has taken me a while. I love love Pottery Barn but some of their stuff is just too pricey for me. I always get their catalog so I saw some plates that you can hang up as art work. I resisted buying them until they went on sale and found them this weekend. Here's a pic of them after I hung them up. Let me know what you think.
My parents came in town this weekend for Memorial Day. It was soo fun to hang out with them and my aunt and uncle. My father served in the military for a while and also recently just retired from the civil service after 35 years being a graphic artist for the government. I just want to say thanks to all those who did serve and are still serving for our country. Hope you guys had a super Memorial Day!!
