Biggest Loser Update

I'm soo proud of Joelle for finally getting her act together and sticking to what Bob says. It will pay off in the end!! 10 lbs in a week is great!! I know for me 1.5 lbs in a week is great and I only hit the gym 2-3 times a week. I was sad to see Dan go. He is soo young and needs to lose soo much more, but atleast he knows the program well enough to do it at home. Maybe he will inspire his partner Dave to get with the program. Making life style changes with your eating can be hard but if you really want it then go for it. I still have 1 splurge day a week. You have to give into your cravings sometimes or you will be crabby. I'm loving this season of the Biggest Loser. Right now I predict that Tara could win. What do yall think??

Good Call Jason!

I'm totally loving this season of the Bachelor. If you haven't watched last nights Bachelor episode then don't read any further. It is too good to miss!!!

So I am very excited that Molly is still on the show. She seems just right for Jason. I felt like Jason made the right decision to keep Stephanie but in the end she will probably go. Nikki still needs to work on some of her issues - being single for a while and dating around. Seriously an 11 year relationship will take longer than a year to get over. Poor girl!!! Anyway, it was such a fun date for the girls to go to General Hospital (I'm very jealous). I could have done with a little less of the making out and a little more different types of scenes. That would have been hard for me to see Jason making out with 5 other girls. Kinda weird if you ask me. At the rose ceremony, I feel like Jason made the right decision to cut all 3 girls. I wouldn't want to be kept around if the guy wasn't into me. The blonde that he let go was kinda pushy and demanding. It's ok to know what you want but some guys don't like to be told what to do. Anyway, I'm soo excited for next week!!! Oh ya, and the Biggest Loser is on tonight. Yea baby!!! It's soo inspiring to see all their hard work pay off at the weigh in.:) Makes me want to hit the gym.

Did I just say that???

Do you ever think - I can't believe I just said that to my child? Well since I've been a nanny there have been many phrases I have said to Froggie and remind me of my Mom. When I was growing up my Mom would say things to me and I would vow never to say them. Here are a few things that I've said to Froggie so far:

~ If you say that one more time I will wash your mouth out with soap.

~ Do I have to pull this car over??

~ When you are in time out there is NO talking. I will start the timer over again if you talk.

~ You have to eat 4 bites more since you are 4 years old.

~ Tuna salad tastes just like chicken salad.

~ Sing your ABC's and then you can be done washing your hands.

All in all Froggie is soo much fun to be with. I know that sometimes kids like to test us to see if we will give in. Be strong ladies you can do it!!! I'm sure there have been things you have said too that make you think back to your childhood. Never say never gals.

Sleepovers with Froggie

The other day Froggie and I were in the car driving to school and he tells me:

"Miss Becca can I come stay at your house for 100 days?"

Me - "Oh Froggie, I would love for you to stay with me for a few nights. 100 days is a lot. Don't you think Mom and Dad would miss you?"

Froggie - "Ya, I guess soo. Could you make sure that I have Star Wars pj's at your house the next time I spend the night?"

Me - " Of course!"

My little guy is the cutest ever! He's totally enthralled with Star Wars right now. Good thing he has one of those Star Wars sticker books or I would be lost.:)

Christmas in a Flash

The Christmas holidays went by in a flash. I can't believe it but, it's probably due to a lot of extra babysitting that I did and parties. My parents came up for 6 wonderful days. We all go and camp out at my fav. Aunt Johnetta's (my Mom's sister) house when they are here. It would be kinda cramped for my parents to stay with me in my one bedroom apt.

This year we did Christmas dinner at my cousins house and had a blast. We also had to get creative with the cooking since my Mom is on a Gluten free diet because of her Celiac disease. Once we figured out what to substitute in our fav. recipes we were on a roll. Dinner was a success and then we did our gag gift exchange. We just draw numbers and go from there. I got an alarm clock since I have such a hard time hitting the snooze in the morning. Hehe!!! One of my fav. things I got from Santa was a Pilates ball and exercise video.

It was soo funny to do the first workout. I laughed the whole time.

I also got a gift card to The Container Store from my boss. It was soo useful. My kitchen pantry needed some organizing so that's just what I did.

I was able to install the over the door system all by myself and didn't even need a screw driver. Yeah!!! That's also one less hole in the wall I'm gunna have to putty over when I move out. Ahhh the joys of renting.:)

The Christmas holidays were such a blessing for me since I don't get to spend a full 6 days with my parents very often, that to me is just priceless. Hope your holiday was as memorable as mine.:)

I'm Guilty!!

So yes, I am guilty as charged. I haven't blogged in forever, but I will try and post some pics to update yall.

In the beginning of December, I along with a bunch of friends got to throw a lingerie show for a dear friend Dee Dee. I was soo much fun planning for the day. Here are a few pics of the beautiful table with the yummy food.

Dee Dee's wedding colors are tiffany blue and brown, so one of the hostess' Julie decided to make blue lemonade for the drinks. It's super easy, just put blue food coloring in a container of Minute Maid Lemonade and shake it up.

It was a big hit!

Julie also had a great idea to get different kinds of candy, put them in individual containers, and then on a piece of paper write a funny saying about the bride and groom. Here's how they turned out:

Put Choc. Kisses in a jar and the attached note says - Jonathan is going to shower her with kisses.

Get Reese's peanut butter cups in a jar and the attached note says - He's got a piece of her heart.

Take Red hot chili's in a jar and the attached note says - Jonathan has the hots for her.:)

Get a bag of peanuts or mixed nuts in a jar and the attached note says - These two are nutz for each other.

Then get a box of whoppers in a jar and the attached note says - Here's to makin' whoppin' whoopie!!!

We had a lady that was going to do a super cute lingerie cake for the shower but then she forgot to make it. Yikes!! So Dee Dee's amazing sister Aimee called Celebrity and got a white choc. cake with white icing and a double choc. cake and both with thumb print cookies around the border. They were soo sinfully good. We hardly had any cake left over.

And lastly we hung all of her sexy lingerie on a pretty ribbon on the mantle. I have done this at many baby showers too. It's soo much fun to show case what the bride gets.

I promise to post again soon!!!
