Sleepy Sunday!!

Let me just say that I love love this sunny weather today. It's so nice and breezy, definite park weather if you ask me. Last night when I finally crawled into bed I had the lovely pleasure of getting kicking and poked by Finn all night all. If you are just now joining my blog last night Finn ( the 3 year old I nanny for) spent the night with me. The sleep over was fun, just exhausting. He loved getting to stay at my place. I loved it as well, especially because I got the excuse to watch Meet the Robinson's movie with him. It was a really cute movie, but they do say stupid and dumb in it and I definitely don't think that the G rating was appropriate. Hopefully Finn won't say those words. Well, I'm gunna keep this one a little short since I need to go and catch up on my sleep before small group tonight. Have a blessed week gang!

Update Since My Surgery

It's a little over a week since my surgery and I'm really starting to feel better. My surgery was successful and they were able to remove most of the endometriosis out of my body. My doctor wasn't sure what to expect when she went in there, but what she did find was that the endometriosis was pretty scattered throughout my body. Some people can have it just centralized in their ovaries or you can have endometriosis in other parts of the body. It's kinda like when you splatter paint and little bits go everywhere, well that's how it is for me. I had some all the way up in my esophagus which is really weird.

After my surgery I was pretty sore, which is to be expected. What I didn't expect was that my Mom, who came up to take care of me, came down with the flu. The flu of all things. I tried to take care of her but it was too hard since I had just had surgery so we went to stay at my Aunt's house. Then 3 days later I came down with the flu. Yuck!!! It is not fun recovering from surgery and the flu. I pretty much slept for 3 days straight! Thankfully, I was able to take an extra day off from work since I had the flu. My Mom ended up staying an extra day too which helped tremendously.

Next month I'm going to start taking the Lepro shot to try and eliminate the rest of my endometriosis. I will take the shot once a month for 3 months. Please be in prayer that the shot works, and eliminates the rest of my endometriosis.

Tonight Finn, the little 3 year old that I nanny for, is spending the night with me. This is such an adventure for him. It's all he could talk about this week. When am I going to get to spend the night at Miss Becca's house??? That's just precious! We went to eat at this little Italian restaurant called Campisi's. It's soo good. They have the best pizza ever. Well while we were eating the lady next to us told me that she had been watching Finn and he had the best manners. That was such a sweet thing to say. It just goes to show you that when you really push good table manners while your children are young it will pay off later. I'm soo proud of him!!

Recipe Exchange...Thanks Jen!!!

So my friend Jen posted a Sopapilla Cheesecake recipe on her blog and then we have to post a recipe that we think that you guys just have to try. I chose a weight watchers dessert from the Best Ever Desserts Cook book. I know that some of you may be thinking that oh my goodness this is going to be yucky but it's soo good.

Chocolate-Marshmallow Fluff Squares

Hands-on Prep: 10 min. Cook: None Makes: 8

8 whole reduced-fat cinnamon graham crackers
3 tablespoons reduced-fat creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons marshmallow creme
1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, melted
3 tablespoons coarsely chopped peanuts

Directions:

Break each graham cracker in half to make 16 squares. Spread each of 8 squares with 1 rounded teaspoon peanut butter. Spread each of the remaining 8 squares with 1 rounded teaspoon marshmallow creme. Press the peanut butter and marshmallow squares together to form sandwiches; place on wax paper -lined baking sheet.

Drizzle the melted chocolate over each sandwich in a zigzag pattern and sprinkle with the peanuts. Freeze until the chocolate is partially set, about 10 minutes.

Points Value is 3.

I love these as a snack or a dessert. They are just the right size. Enjoy!!

Now it's your turn to share your favorite recipe. Either post it on your blog and then post a link in my comments section or just post the recipe in my comments section. This is soo fun!!! Have a great week everyone!!
